Debashis Sen, born on January 2, 1960, is a retired IAS officer from the 1985 West Bengal cadre. He holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics, along with a PG Diploma in Public Administration. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary to Government, Additional Chief Secretary, Chief Electoral Officer, Managing Director, Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Commissioner, Special Secretary, District Magistrate, and Under Secretary. His most recent role was Principal Secretary to Government in the Information and Broadcasting Department, starting July 17, 2017.
