A graduate in English, he served in various capacities including Managing Director, Secretary, Chairman & Managing Director, Director, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, District Collector, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Assistant Collector, and Chief Executive Officer. His most recent designation was Chief Executive Officer in the Industries and Commerce department of Maharashtra. Throughout his career, Sohal contributed to multiple administrative roles within the state government before retiring from service.
