Daya Nand Lal, born on July 1, 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a Ph.D. and postgraduate degree in Philosophy. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Additional Registrar, and Chief Development Officer. His most recent position was District Magistrate at Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, from June 1, 2002, to June 30, 2006. He also served as Director of Census Operations in the Land Revenue Department.
