Dr. Darez Ahamed, born on February 5, 1977, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2005 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds an M.B.B.S. degree from Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Currently, he serves as Secretary at the Special Programme Implementation Department in Chennai since July 8, 2023. Throughout his career, Dr. Ahamed has held various positions including Secretary to Government, Commissioner, Mission Director, District Collector, Joint Commissioner, Project Officer, Sub Collector, and Assistant Collector. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
