Dabasish Basu, born on July 1, 1944, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Physics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Additional Director, Joint Secretary, Special Secretary, and Joint Commissioner. His most recent position was Joint Commissioner in the Backward Classes Welfare Department from March 6, 2003, to June 30, 2004.
