D Varaprasad, born on 13 July 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1997 batch of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Commissioner, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Secretary to Commissioner, Joint Collector, Additional Collector, and Project Director. His most recent position was Commissioner in the Department of Labour and Employment from 18 January 2015 to 31 July 2019. Throughout his career, he contributed to multiple administrative roles within the Andhra Pradesh government before retiring from service.
