Over his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Joint Collector, Deputy Commissioner, Director, Special Commissioner, and Principal Secretary. His most recent role was Special Chief Secretary in the Prohibition Excise and Registration Department from May 1, 2017, to March 31, 2020. Rao’s extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Andhra Pradesh government.
