D Raajendran, born on 12 October 1952, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1995 batch of the Tamil Nadu cadre. He held various positions including Deputy Commissioner, District Collector, Joint Commissioner, and Managing Director. Most recently, he served as Director in the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department from 19 February 2009 to 31 October 2012. Mr. Raajendran is a graduate and has contributed to the administration of Tamil Nadu throughout his career.
