D N Roy, born on January 17, 1942, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Special Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Secretary. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Medical Education Department from April 24, 2000, to January 31, 2002. Mr. Roy's extensive service reflects his long-standing commitment to administrative roles within the Uttar Pradesh government.
