Over his career, he served in various capacities including Deputy Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Joint Registrar, Assistant Commissioner, Director, Commissioner, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Additional Chief Secretary. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister at Bangalore, Karnataka, starting from 3 February 2014, within the Chief Minister's Office.
