D Laxmaiah, born on March 6, 1934, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre. He held various positions throughout his career, including Junior Scale, Personal Assistant, Assistant Secretary, Revenue Divisional Officer, District Development Officer, and Joint Collector from July 1, 1989, to March 1, 1992. He also served as Director of Census Operations in the Land Revenue Department. Mr. Laxmaiah is a graduate and contributed to administrative functions in multiple capacities during his tenure in the IAS.
