D K Podar, born on November 3, 1934, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 Punjab cadre. He holds graduate degrees in Law and Economics, along with a Diploma in Law. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Joint Director, Director, and Executive Director. His most recent position was Additional Secretary in the Finance Department from December 1, 1990, to November 1, 1992.
