D Chandrasekaran, born on June 11, 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 Tamil Nadu cadre. Throughout his career, he held various positions including Deputy Secretary, District Collector, Managing Director, Joint Commissioner, Director, and Special Secretary. His most recent role was Special Secretary in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment from June 7, 2001, to June 30, 2006.
