D Chakravarty, born on November 6, 1934, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 Bihar cadre. He holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in Geography. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Junior Scale, Deputy Development Commissioner, Joint Secretary, and Joint Chief Electoral Officer. His most recent position was Deputy Secretary in the Law and Justice Department from July 1, 1991, to November 1, 1992.
