D Chakrapani, born on July 3, 1951, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree and a graduate degree in English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, Secretary, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Secretary, and other administrative roles. His most recent position was Additional Director General in the Human Resources Department from May 17, 2010, to July 31, 2011.
