D C Sarkar, born on 14 November 1943, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in History. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Director, Special Secretary, and Officer on Special Duty to the Minister in the Law and Justice Department from 15 January 2001 to 18 May 2001. His extensive experience spans multiple administrative roles within the West Bengal cadre.
