Chirravuri Viswanath, born on 30 September 1957, is a retired IAS officer from the 1981 Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Political Science and a graduate degree in History. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Managing Director, and District Collector. His most recent role was Secretary in the Personnel Department from 1 May 2016 to 30 September 2017. Viswanath’s extensive experience spans multiple administrative and leadership positions within the government, reflecting a diverse and comprehensive public service tenure.
