Chandra Vanu Som, born on 19 January 1967, is a 1990 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Gujarat cadre. He holds a B.Sc. and P.G. degree in Chemistry, along with an MBA from the UK. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary to Government at Gandhinagar in the Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpsar Department since 29 October 2021. His extensive career includes roles such as Principal Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, Director, Joint Secretary, Officer on Special Duty to Minister, Deputy Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, District Development Officer, and Assistant Collector. He is proficient in Bengali, English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
