Chandra Bhushan Kumar, an IAS officer of the 1995 batch from the AGMUT cadre, currently serves as Chief Secretary at Andaman & Nicobar Islands since November 25, 2024. Born on August 28, 1967, he holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Wales, an LL.B., and an M.A. in Public Administration from Syracuse University. His extensive career includes roles such as Additional Secretary/Mission Director, Principal Secretary to the Lt. Governor, Deputy Election Commissioner, Chief Electoral Officer, Secretary, Commissioner, Special Secretary, Labour Commissioner, and Deputy Commissioner. He has been recognized for initiatives in electoral awareness, establishing an Election Museum, and achieving the Best State in Election award.
