Chaman Kumar, born on December 3, 1951, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1978 Gujarat cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Physics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Director, Commissioner, Managing Director, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Secretary. His most recent role was Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Agriculture Department of Gujarat from November 6, 2008, to December 31, 2011. Kumar’s extensive service reflects a broad administrative experience within the Gujarat state government.
