C R Das, born on April 28, 1938, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Physics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Junior Scale, Deputy Secretary, Additional Executive Officer, and Joint Secretary. His most recent position was Deputy Secretary in the Food- Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department from December 1, 1994, to April 30, 1996.
