C R Biswas, born on January 21, 1940, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1967 Gujarat cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in English literature and a graduate degree in Economics. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, District Collector, District Development Officer, Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Director, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Managing Director, Secretary, and Additional Chief Secretary. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary in the Human Resources Department of Gujarat from May 1, 1995, to January 31, 1998.
