C. Murugan, born on May 7, 1976, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2007 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.Sc. from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, and an M.Sc. from Kerala Agricultural University. Currently, he serves as the Deputy Chairperson at the Tea Board in Kolkata, West Bengal. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Assistant Collector and Magistrate, Additional Director, Chief Executive Officer, Additional Secretary, Secretary, Additional District Magistrate, Managing Director, and Sub Divisional Officer. He is proficient in English and Tamil and continues to serve in the IAS.
