C J Ponraj, born on February 9, 1955, is a retired IAS officer from the 1981 batch of the Nagaland cadre. He holds a graduate degree in English and an M.B.A. in Finance. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Special Secretary to Governor, Chief Electoral Officer, Resident Commissioner, and multiple Secretary and Principal Secretary roles. His most recent position was Chief Secretary to the Government in the General Administration Department from January 1 to February 28, 2015. Ponraj's extensive service reflects a broad administrative experience within the Nagaland cadre.
