C Chikkanna, born on 16 May 1942, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Karnataka cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Commerce. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Registrar, Commissioner, Director, Managing Director, Joint Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, Chief Secretary, and Joint Director. His most recent position was Election Commissioner at Karnataka from 3 April 2002 to 3 April 2004. He was associated with the Law and Justice Department during his service.
