Bhawna Garg, born on 02/11/1976, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1999 Punjab cadre. She holds a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and an M.P.A. in Public Policy from Princeton University, USA. Currently, she serves as the Principal Secretary in the Jails Department of Punjab since 27/05/2025. Her past roles include Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Special Secretary, Director, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, and Secretary to Government. She has also served on deputation and inter-cadre deputation. Bhawna is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to be in service.
