Bhanwar Lal, born on 25 October 1957, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Commerce and a postgraduate degree in Economics. During his career, he served in various capacities including Chief Electoral Officer and Election Officer Principal Secretary, Principal Secretary, Deputy Director, Joint Secretary, Director, Commissioner, Joint Managing Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Project Coordinator, Executive Director, Joint Commissioner, Additional Registrar, Deputy Commissioner, Joint Collector, and Sub Collector. His most recent position was Chief Electoral Officer in the Election Department from 9 April 2015 to 31 October 2017.
