Dr. Bhalchandra Pratap Chavan, born on 27 October 1976, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2019 batch, Maharashtra cadre. He holds an M.Sc. in Agriculture, a Ph.D., and an LL.B. Currently, he serves as the Director (Disaster Management) at Mantralaya, Mumbai, in the Revenue and Forest Department since 17 July 2025. Previously, he held the position of Commissioner. Dr. Chavan continues to contribute to the administrative services in his current role.
