Bhagwati Prasad Gopalika, born on June 1, 1964, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Chemistry. Throughout his career in the Government of West Bengal, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Sub Divisional Officer, Additional Executive Officer, Additional District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, District Magistrate, Director, Secretary, Principal Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, and ultimately as Chief Secretary to the Government at Kolkata from June 1 to August 31, 2024. His extensive service reflects a broad administrative experience within the state government.
