Basant Kurre, born on 14 February 1967, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2010 batch, Madhya Pradesh cadre. He holds an M.A. degree and has served in various capacities including Additional Secretary, Secretary, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Welfare Commissioner, Ex. Officio Deputy Secretary, and Joint Chief Electoral Officer. Currently, he is the Additional Secretary in the Labour Department of Madhya Pradesh, a position he has held since 25 April 2025. Basant Kurre continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service, contributing to the administration of Madhya Pradesh.
