Barun Kumar Sahu, born on 21 April 1969, is a 1992 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Tripura cadre. He holds a B.Tech. from IIT and an M.B.A. from IGNOU Delhi. Currently on compulsory wait since 4 October 2023, he has served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Secretary, Chief Vigilance Officer, Director, Additional Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, Project Director, and Assistant Collector. He received a Consolation Prize under the Rajiv Gandhi National Award Scheme for his book "Computer Bole Aapki Bhasha." He is proficient in Bengali, English, French, Hindi, Spanish, and Urdu.
