Baldeo Purushartha, born on January 5, 1974, is a 2002 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.A. (Hons) and M.A. in History from Delhi University. Currently, he serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, New Delhi. Throughout his career, he has held multiple positions including Director, Joint Secretary, Secretary to Lokpal, Private Secretary to Minister of State (IC), Commissioner, Special Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Director General, Managing Director, Additional Secretary, and Additional Deputy Commissioner. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Punjabi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
