Bal Krishna Tripathi, born on 11 November 1965, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2008 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University and an M.Sc. in Physics from Gorakhpur University. Currently, he serves as Secretary in the General Administration Department, Uttar Pradesh, since 28 October 2025. His previous roles include Chief Development Officer, District Collector and Magistrate (Incharge), Special Secretary, Director, Additional Chief Executive, and Divisional Commissioner. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Sanskrit and continues to serve in the IAS.
