Baidyanath Prasad, born on January 6, 1951, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1995 Bihar cadre. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Managing Director, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Additional Secretary. His most recent position was Additional Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution from October 16, 2009, to January 31, 2011. He has also experienced a period of suspension during his service.
