Bachittar Singh, born on January 5, 1952, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds postgraduate qualifications in Sociology, a graduate degree in English, and an LL.B. in Law. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Joint Secretary, Secretary, Project Director, Special Secretary Director, District Magistrate, Vice Chairperson, Deputy Chairman, District Collector, Chief Development Officer, Additional Director, Joint Director, and Executive Magistrate. His most recent position was Joint Secretary from January 1 to January 31, 2012.
