Babu Lal Meena, born on 15 April 1968, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1991 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering and a Certificate in Law. Currently serving as Principal Secretary at the Department of Horticulture and Food Processing, Lucknow since 27 February 2024, Meena has held various positions including Principal Secretary to Government, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Chairman, Director, Registrar, Managing Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Special Secretary, Chief Development Officer, and Assistant Collector. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the IAS.
