Babu A., born on 14 July 1975, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2003 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from IARI New Delhi. Currently, he serves as the Chief Commissioner at Andhra Pradesh in the State Tax Department since 14 October 2024. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Assistant Collector, Managing Director, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Executive Director, Joint Collector, Additional District Magistrate & Collector, CEO, and Secretary. He is proficient in English, Malayalam, and Telugu. Babu A. continues to serve in the IAS.
