B. Venugopal Reddy, born on May 1, 1968, is a 1994 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre. He holds a B.Sc. from AP Agricultural University, Hyderabad, and an M.Sc. from P.G. IARI, New Delhi. Currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Higher and Technical Education Department of Maharashtra since January 2, 2025, Reddy has held various key positions including Principal Secretary, MD & CEO, Secretary to Governor, Divisional Commissioner, and District Collector. Fluent in English and Telugu, he continues to contribute to the Indian Administrative Service with extensive experience across multiple administrative roles.
