B.R. Ambedkar, born on 20 May 1968, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2015 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad. Currently serving as Inspector General in the Registration and Stamps Department of Andhra Pradesh since 21 September 2025, Ambedkar has previously held the position of Collector and District Magistrate. He continues to serve in the IAS, contributing to the administration of Andhra Pradesh.
