B P Shyam Roy, born on April 16, 1947, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 batch, West Bengal cadre. He served in the Development and Planning Department, holding the position of Special Secretary from March 29, 2005, to April 30, 2007. Throughout his career, he held various roles including Joint Secretary, Member Secretary, and Additional District Magistrate. Mr. Roy is a graduate and contributed to the administrative framework of West Bengal during his tenure.
