Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Superintendent, Assistant Collector, Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary, District Development Officer, District Collector, Commissioner, Secretary, Managing Director, Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary, and Estt Officer & Additional Secretary. His most recent position was Secretary at Gujarat from 17 to 19 June 1999.
