She holds an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. Currently, she serves as the Special Secretary at the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department in Chennai, a position she has held since June 16, 2021. Her previous roles include Special Secretary to Government, Deputy Secretary, and Deputy Commissioner. Fluent in English and Tamil, B. Maheswari continues to contribute to public administration in Tamil Nadu.
