B K Lakhiyar, born on January 18, 1933, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 Bihar cadre batch. He holds graduate degrees in Hindi and Law. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Secretary, Settlement Officer, District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Director, Deputy Development Commissioner, Joint Director, Deputy Development Officer, Additional District Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Officer, and Junior Scale. His most recent position was Additional Secretary in the Department of Rural Development from June 1, 1990, to January 1, 1991.
