B K Avasthi, born on July 1, 1934, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate and postgraduate degree in Mathematics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Junior Scale, General Manager, Director, Managing Director, Additional Director, and Joint Secretary. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Transport Department from July 1, 1990, to June 1, 1992.
