She is currently the Deputy Commissioner of Kalaburagi District, Karnataka, a position she has held since 19 June 2023. Throughout her career, she has held various roles including Chief Executive Officer, Senior Assistant Commissioner, and Assistant Secretary. Ms. Taranum continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service, contributing to the administration and governance of Karnataka.
