B C Chakraborty, born on January 5, 1942, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Joint Secretary, Secretary, and Special Secretary. His most recent position was Special Secretary at the West Bengal State Agricultural Marketing Board from March 1, 2001, to January 31, 2002. Mr. Chakraborty’s service reflects extensive experience within the administrative framework of West Bengal.
