B. Basavaraaju, born on 24 June 1959, is a retired IAS officer from the 1988 Karnataka cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Agriculture. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, Registrar, Director, Additional Director, Project Director, Deputy Commissioner, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Executive, Joint Registrar, and Assistant Commissioner. His most recent position was Principal Secretary in the Revenue Department at Bangalore, Karnataka, from 30 August 2013 to 30 June 2019.
