Avny Lavasa, born on 30 April 1985, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2013 batch, serving in the Jammu & Kashmir cadre. She holds a B.Arch. in Humanities and a B.A. Honours in Economics from Delhi University, along with a Master's in Urban Planning from Harvard University. Throughout her career, she has held various positions including Assistant Secretary, Sub Collector, Under Secretary Equivalent, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and Chief Executive Officer. As of 5 August 2025, she serves as Secretary in the Transport Department. She continues to be an active member of the IAS.
