Avanish Kumar Rai, born on 25 July 1989, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2014 batch, serving in the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Instrumentation from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Regional Engineering College, Jalandhar. Avanish Kumar Rai has served as the District Magistrate and Collector at Badaun from 15 April 2025 to 31 October 2016. He is proficient in English and Hindi. Currently, he remains in service within the IAS.
