Avanish K Awasthi, born on 19 August 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, District Collector and Magistrate, Sub Divisional Officer, Chief Development Officer, Assistant Collector, Special Secretary, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Managing Director. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary in the Home Department at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, commencing on 1 August 2019. He retired from service after a distinguished tenure in the Indian Administrative Service.
